Dulce Torres

Dulce Torres received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing with a dual minor in Adult Education and Spanish Language and Culture from Alverno College in 2010. Dulce currently is a clinical nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee. Dulce is passionate and dedicated to her patients and career. She has specialized and certified to ensure the best quality care for her patients. Dulce’s nursing clinical expertise spans from orthopedics, ENT, Medical and Surgical. She is Board Certified in Medical and Surgical (Med/Surg) from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Dulce currently serves as the primary preceptor and the charge RN that oversees 11T at St. Luke’s Medical Center. Dulce is a leader in her unit. She is currently the Chairperson for the Area Coordinating Council for 11T. She oversees new changes and implements them on her unit. She also sits on the Struder Rewards and Recognition Steering Committee that oversees St. Luke’s Hospital in regards to initiating new recognition for caregivers. Mentoring nurses and potential nurses is one of her favorite roles. Dulce has received recognition and awards, such as the Aurora Star and the Daisy Award, which is an International Nursing Award.
Dulce’s passion for education extends to her working as a Clinical Instructor for Marquette University Nursing Students. She currently instructs nursing students to integrate what they have learned in theory into practice. Dulce is also a member of the Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee. Dulce was also chosen to be a panelist for the Wisconsin Hispanic Minority Foundation. She is determined to make a change in her community and help the Hispanic population succeed.
